Rules for Admission

  • The minimum qualification for BA first year entrants is Intermediate examination with 40% marks.
  • Admission in BA first year will be on the basis of merit.
  • Those applicants who have passed the intermediate examination in professional stream in 2013-14 will be considered by deducting the marks of practical examination while preparing the list for their admission.
  • While preparing the merit index for each gap year, the index will be prepared by deducting 5% of the original marks of the entrants.
  • Students passed from inter colleges of Hamirpur district and wards of officers will be given a surcharge of 10 marks while preparing the list for admission in BA first year.
  • 5% relaxation from minimum eligibility will be given to the entrants belonging to Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
  • A surcharge of 5 marks will be given to sons and daughters (unmarried) of freedom fighters, students who have 'B' certificate from NCC and are participating in state level competitions in sports.
  • Entrants against whom criminal cases are registered in the police station or pending in the court will not be eligible for admission.
  • No student shall be a student of the institution for more than 4 years till graduation.
  • A surcharge of 10 marks will be allowed for admission to the dependents (sons and daughters) of officers/employees working in colleges affiliated to Bundelkhand University.
  • The Principal reserves the right to deny admission to any candidate without assigning any reason.
  • Use of pan masala/gutka, smoking and alcohol etc. is prohibited in colleges.
  • In high school, first class will be given 5 marks, second class will be given 3 marks and third class will be given 1 mark.

Rules regarding filling admission application form

  • It is necessary for the candidate himself to fill the application form in block letters and submit it to the office along with copies of the required certificates by the prescribed date.
  • The following enclosures are mandatory with the application form -
    • Three recent passport size photographs
    • Attested copy of photo state of mark sheets of high school and intermediate examination
    • Original copy of transfer certificate
    • Character Certificate (by the Principal of the last institution)
    • Appropriate evidence for the time interval and certificate or affidavit given by the State Gazetted Officer
    • The Tehsildar's certificate pertaining to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Tribal Community.
    • A copy of the NCC "B" certificate, a certificate attesting to one's lineage as a freedom fighter, and a certificate pertaining to sports.
    • Certificate of Dependents of Serving Officers/ Employees in Government Colleges.
  • The information regarding the interview date for admission will be posted on the notice board of the college.
  • During the interview, it is mandatory for the candidate to be present in person with the original copies of all the certificates.
  • The list of selected students for admission will be displayed on the notice board of the college. Selected candidates must complete the admission process by depositing the full fee at the office by the specified date. Otherwise, admission will be considered canceled.
  • After admission to the college, it will be the responsibility of the student to promptly fill and submit the scholarship form and reimbursement form.

  • Regularly check the notice board of the college for all announcements, programs, and instructions.

Selection criteria for subjects

  • Any student can choose a maximum of two subjects.
  • First-year BA students who opt for literature must also select one language. These marks will be included in their grade sheet.
  • Students must choose either Political Science or Sociology.
  • It is mandatory for all students to take the Environmental subject.
